2024 Travels in Review
In 2024 we went outside Europe again, for the first time since 2015. Our trip to Jordan was our last trip outside of Europe, until we went to Egypt in our 2024 travels. And later in the year to Japan. Two bucket list destinations in 2024. In the spring of 2021 we drove all 3 of the different tulip routes in Flevoland. Flevoland is the area with the most tulip fields in the Netherlands, so you will see plenty of tulips in all shades of color. Flevoland is a province in the middle and a bit of the north of the Netherlands. It’s the youngest province of the Netherlands, since it’s only in existence since the 1960s. Keukenhof: The Most Beautiful Gardens in The World

The Flower Route: a Road Trip with Tulip fields.
Last Updated: April 21st 2026. The Netherlands is known around the world for its beautiful tulips. In spring, fields of flowers align the fields in the west of the Netherlands. There are several tulip routes throughout the country. We have driven the flower route by car, now 5 years in a row, in the province of Zuid-Holland.
