Corendon Village Hotel Amsterdam The Largest Hotel in the Benelux
We stayed at Corendon Village Hotel Amsterdam for a week last Summer in July. There was so much to do and we loved our stay so much that we returned for a week in August. Most restrictions were lifted, however a few were still in place in July and August. So the hotel was not in full practice, but we could try out most of the facilities.
This is not a sponsored post, we stayed here at our own expense. So all opinions are, as always, our own.

The kitchen comes luckily with a dishwasher and a microwave. We loved our stays and the room both times. The toilet is separate from the shower. The shower is a walk-in shower, which we found convenient.

What We Ate
We had the dinner buffet twice during our two stays and the lunch buffet twice. We loved the buffet and what they offered both at dinner and lunch time. There was plenty to choose from for us.
Paul and I had dinner once at the Cockpit Restaurant. We had a 3-course dinner. As an entrée we both had the burrata dish. As a main I had pasta and Paul pizza. You could pick what to go in or on it yourself. As a dessert we both had ice cream with rhubarb.
We sat down at the Skybar many times, both outside on the roof terrace as inside. A few times we had mint tea and ice tea. We ordered tacos and nachos. We also ordered cocktails and mocktails. Paul loved the Red Alert.
We also had drinks twice at the Sports Café and sat down at the Lobby Bar a few times. However the Skybar was by far our favorite.
The hotel offers a breakfast buffet at the Village Plaza Restaurant, for a €17.50 charge per person per day. It’s from 8am till 11am. It’s a very elaborate buffet with hot items, a bread and buns section, a section with croissants and pain au chocolat, a fruit section and cold cuts with meat and cheese. There was a coffee/tea and juice bar, which also had milk and chocolate milk. We had the breakfast buffet 3 times during our 2 stays.
There’s someone at the front desk 24/7. Most times there are 2 to 3 persons at the front desk. The front desk is at the entrance of the Plaza building. Entertainment at the Hotel
Corendon Cinema is at the hotel in the Plaza building, it’s in the basement. The cinema has 78 seats and you get a box of popcorn with your ticket. They also sell tickets. Each week there’s a new program with just released movies and older ones. We visited the cinema once and loved it. There’s a separate fee for the cinema.
There’s a separate event location, the Hangar, close to the hotel in a factory hall. It has an arcade hall, seating area with a stage and a small bar with coffee, tea, lemonade and sweets. You have to buy coins for the machines at the arcade.
There’s a garden at the back end side of the Plaza building with a small playground, grass field and cabins where they can hold a market.
One thing the hotel is known for is, is that they have a Boeing 747-400 standing in the garden. It’s a real plane that has been used as a commercial aircraft. After the plane retired, Corendon bought it and transported it from Schiphol to the hotel.
You can walk underneath the plane and guided tours are being held to see the inside of the plane. We did such a tour, and it was really cool. The guide knew a lot about the type of plane and seeing the inside was fun. There’s also a short movie about the transport of the plane from Schiphol to the hotel.

Wow! What an awesome place to stay. It seems like there’s something for everyone and you can really sit back and relax here. I love seeing the food, and the arcade and plane looks like a great added bonus!
I had no idea Amsterdam had a hotel this size! It’s great that they offer rooms of various sizes and price points. It sounds like you can stay there and get a great deal on a room rate too.
Wow, this is one spacious accommodation! Space is so important and I hate it when my opened luggage takes up like, half the floor space 😅 This is fab!
I always love a restaurant with a good buffet, even better if they have a well equipped gym!
This is a hidden gem nearby airport never heard of it. Would like to stay for a night when I’m back again.
