Corendon Village Hotel Amsterdam The Largest Hotel in the Benelux
We stayed at Corendon Village Hotel Amsterdam for a week last Summer in July. There was so much to do and we loved our stay so much that we returned for a week in August. Most restrictions were lifted, however a few were still in place in July and August. So the hotel was not in full practice, but we could try out most of the facilities. This is not a sponsored post, we stayed here at our own expense. So all opinions are, as always, our own. Fletcher Badhotel Callantsoog Perfect for New Year’s Eve
We stayed at Fletcher Badhotel Callantsoog for New Year’s Eve. Arriving on the 31st of December and leaving again on the 2nd of January. We booked it at a whim on the evening of the 30th of December. Even though we couldn’t undertake a lot due to the current restrictions, we loved our stay. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is warm and helpful. Note that not everything mentioned below is currently offered, due to the restrictions. We’ve also got tips for traveling right now. This was not our first and only hotel stay since 2020 (when everything changed), see our review of NH Hotel Schiphol Airport…

Macarons for breakfast, a comfy bed and friendly staff is what the Van der Valk hotel Ridderkerk offers. Stopover hotels on the way South
When traveling from The Netherlands to Mid-, Southern France or Spain, a stopover hotel comes in handy to break up the long drive. People swear by different options in driving to Southern France or Spain. Some people drive it in one take, others mostly drive at night (less traffic and kids are asleep). We usually opt to drive a small part on the first evening and the rest the next day, or when it’s Spain a second stopover hotel in the South of France. Here’s a list of hotels we’ve tested and liked. A stopover hotel is ideally located close to the highway you’re driving South on. They’re not that…

A Night at Van der Valk Hotel Tiel
Last Updated: August 1st 2024. Since Paul’s office hosted a party at the Van der Valk hotel Tiel, we decided to stay the night. It turned out to be a good decision, we loved our stay here and are going back with Yuri (some day). The Party The party was great, good food. There was lots of choice and the ambiance was good. The food was displayed market style. Each “market stall” had a different theme which corresponded with the food available. So there was Italian, Dutch and USA. The waiting staff, from Van der Valk hotel Tiel, that helped us at the party was friendly and helped us well.…
