Favorite Coffee places in Europe
When traveling finding good places to sit down, where you can drink and eat something are vital. Best is when these are venues where you love to come over and over again. Where you still dream about months later, whether this is because the coffee is so good, delicious food, it has a perfect view or the ambiance of the place. I’ve asked a few of my fellow travel bloggers what their favorite coffee places in Europe are. They came up with these fantastic places all over Europe. I’ve added a few of my own to the list. Stopover hotels on the way South
When traveling from The Netherlands to Mid-, Southern France or Spain, a stopover hotel comes in handy to break up the long drive. People swear by different options in driving to Southern France or Spain. Some people drive it in one take, others mostly drive at night (less traffic and kids are asleep). We usually opt to drive a small part on the first evening and the rest the next day, or when it’s Spain a second stopover hotel in the South of France. Here’s a list of hotels we’ve tested and liked. A stopover hotel is ideally located close to the highway you’re driving South on. They’re not that…

2020 has already started, and we have already made some trips. But in this post I want to take you back to 2018. We did a lot of trips, mostly in The Netherlands. It wasn’t the easiest year for us, but we got through it and we were still able to travel. Here are our 2018 travels per month. January A quiet month, we only took 3 trips. With Yuri’s class we went to castle de Haar and had a guided tour here. It was fun and informative. On a good level the kids learned a lot about how the owners have lived in the castle over the centuries. De…

5 Things to do in the Gorges du Verdon with kids
France has so many beautiful regions to explore! A few years ago we visited the Gorges du Verdon region in spring. Our lodgings were at campsite RCN Les Collines de Castellane in the town of Castellane. The weather was warm already (most days even hot) and there is plenty to do in the Gorges du Verdon with kids. A visit to the Gorges itself is not described in this article. We planned that for the last day of our trip, but since rain was predicted, we weren’t in for a day out on the water. So no Gorges, but a visit to grottes and Grasse that day. Things to see…
